EU release new guidelines on additional control on organic products re: Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Turkey, Russian Federation and China

EU DG AGRI have published documents Ares(2020)7898622 and Ares(2020)7898777  dated 23/12/2020 concerning the guidelines on additional control on organic products originating in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Turkey, Russian Federation and China for the year 2021.

In the context of COVID-19 : Additional controls on organic products originating in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Turkey, Russian Federation and China: the validity of the temporarily suspension announced by email of 08 April 2020 is prolonged and will cover the guidelines in the attached letters until 1 March 2021 under the same terms communicated in April 2020.
The Member States will apply the guidelines in their territory, except for specific cases where such measures are not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions.
