The IOAS participated at the annual GLOBALG.A.P. accreditation body meeting in Berlin where an overview was provided on the past year’s results and plans for the coming period along with a summary of how GlobalG.A.P. is becoming more transparent at the consumer level with the GGN label. The GGN Label on the final product represents a GLOBALG.A.P. certified production process of aquaculture as well as flowers and ornamental plants and provides guidance to consumers.
For every product that bears the GGN logo, consumers can look up the origin of the product and information on the producer’s farm.
We were also advised that a draft version of Version 6 of the GlobalG.A.P. standard will
soon be presented for public consultation on the GlobalG.A.P. website and for producers a “How do I get GLOBALG.A.P. certified?” – video has been released.
