The European Commission has recently published a new update to the EU FAQs on Organic Rules.
The update of 22 January, 2026 added two new questions 30 and 31 relevant to Chapter 4.3 Livestock and concerning provisions on in-conversion animals:
30. May in-conversion animals be sold between farmers?
31. What is the status of the offspring born from a mother still in the conversion period in an organic production unit?
