Complaints

IOAS is committed to promptly responding to and investigating relevant complaints.  These may be against IOAS itself or against our applicant or accredited certification bodies.  Complaints against a certification body should normally be directed to the certification body itself before involving IOAS.  However, if the complainant feels that the issue was not appropriately handled by the certification body, then they should refer the matter to IOAS.  All whistleblower complaints should be directed immediately to IOAS.

When submitting a complaint, it is essential that the complainant provides as much evidence and substantiating documentation as possible.  If the complaint involves claims of fraud, then this evidence and documentation is an absolute requirement before IOAS can begin an investigation.

Complainants are always informed of the outcome of complaint investigations; however, specific details regarding actions taken may remain confidential if the circumstances warrant it.
