IOAS delivers the same integrity, representation and accountability that we look for and encourage in our clients and partners. Our structure and operation are overseen by various independent bodies. IOAS is incorporated in the USA as a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization. Our Board, Committees and team are based all over the world.
The IOAS Board of Directors is the highest decision-making body of the organization, providing strategic direction, oversight and accountability for our operations.
Our Accreditation Committee is responsible for technical accreditation decisions, ensuring independent, fair and consistent reviews of new and renewal accreditation applications.
Our Impartiality Committee ensures that IOAS conducts its business in an impartial manner. The Committee is responsible for ensuring that IOAS remains free from conflict of interests, it reviews samples of decisions made, ensures that we follow our policies and procedures and discusses actions to mitigate risks to impartiality.
IOAS has been appointed by numerous voluntary sustainability standards, such as Textile Exchange, GOTS, Canada Organic, IFOAM, Cosmos, Natrue and others, to develop, oversee and improve the integrity and credibility of their Certification Schemes worldwide.
