The European Commission has recently published a new update to the EU FAQs on Organic Rules.
The update of 28 April, 2026 added new questions relevant to 3 different Chapters:
- Chapter 1 Subject matter, scope and definitions: new questions 32, 33 and 34 concerning castor oil, cotton and truffles.
- Chapter 4.1. General Production Rules: new question 6 on storage of non-organic manure.
- Chapter 4.3 Livestock production rules: question 14 on grazing has been replaced.
