IOAS Inc. announces the appointment of Francis Blake as President, following the passing of Michael Sligh, who served IOAS as President for 8 years.
Michael Sligh’s leadership played a pivotal role in shaping IOAS into a respected global accreditation body within the organic and sustainability sector. His commitment, integrity, and vision left a lasting impact on the organization and the wider organic community. IOAS extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues, and honors his legacy with gratitude and respect.
Francis Blake brings extensive experience in organic farming, standards, certification and regulation from leading roles in the UK Soil Association, IFOAM Organics Europe, COSMOS Standard and Global Organic Textile Standards. As President, he will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Director to continue the advancement of IOAS’s mission to support credible, high-quality accreditation services worldwide.
