IOAS, a leading global provider of accreditation in the field of organic and sustainability standards, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lauren Carlyle as Executive Director of IOAS from January 1, 2025. Lauren joined the IOAS as Business Director in April 2023 and brings to IOAS 25 years’ experience in strategy, business management, business development, product development and marketing across a range of industries in Africa, Asia and Europe.
Michael Sligh, IOAS President of the Board of Directors commented, “After an international search spanning 6 months, the Board was unanimous in appointing Lauren as Executive Director to drive IOAS forward with a renewed strategy to strengthen trust in organic whilst widening our scope to complementary claims. Lauren has shown her commitment to, and will lead IOAS focused on our people, our systems, our customers and our collaborators.
We are also grateful that David Crucefix, after 24 years with IOAS and 13 years as Executive Director, during which time IOAS has grown 10-fold, will continue with IOAS in a part-time role on innovation and business development”.
Lauren Carlyle added, “I am committed to enhancing IOAS’s reputation as a global leader in organic and sustainable accreditation. Maintaining the integrity of certified eco-label claims is vital for building consumer trust and supporting global trade. By upholding rigorous standards and promoting transparency, IOAS will continue to inspire confidence in sustainable practices worldwide.
As we move into 2025 and beyond, our focus will be on strengthening collaborations across the sectors we serve, fostering innovation, delivering high-quality assurance services to our clients and partners at the lowest possible cost, and broadening the scope of our work in line with our mission. Our goal is to contribute to a reliable and sustainable global economy”.
