New Delegated Regulation EU 2024/3095: Important Updates on issuance of Certificates of Inspection Until 2025

This is to inform you that a new Delegated Regulation, EU 2024/3095, was published this morning. This regulation amends Regulation EU 2021/1698 by introducing a new Article 30a, which allows for the issuance of Certificates of Inspection (CoIs) under the EU-Equivalence until October 15, 2025. This amendment applies to certification bodies that were recognized under the Equivalence regime and those that are or will be recognized by the end of 2024 under the EU-Compliance Import regime.

The allowance is that for operators not yet certified to Regulation EU 2018/848 and its secondary acts by the end of 2024, the above-mentioned certification bodies may issue CoIs with reference to Art. 33(3) of Reg. EC 834/2007, i.e. against the Equivalence regime, until 15th October 2025.

The newly published Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/3095 enters into force on 11th December 2024.
