Appeals

IOAS believes strongly in the concept of due diligenceAs such, we have developed a comprehensive Objections and Appeals Policy (PL0504)An appeal, in particular, is a formal disagreement by a certification body with any adverse accreditation decision made by IOAS related to its desired accreditation statusA certification body must notify IOAS within 14 calendar days of the adverse decision of its intention to submit an appeal.  They then have a total of 28 calendar days from the adverse decision to file their complete appeal arguments.

Appeal arguments must focus on specific disagreements with particular assessment findings and/or disagreement with the reasons for the adverse accreditation decision. Appeal arguments that are solely based on new, continued or future corrective actions or plans on the part of the certification body are likely to be immediately deemed invalid by IOAS Senior Management.
