Misuse of Name, Logo and Mark Page
Occasionally, IOAS is informed of a misuse of names and logos, either of IOAS or the scheme owners with whom we collaborate. IOAS itself also regularly monitors the use of the IOAS name and logo by applicant and accredited certification bodies.
Most often, these misuses are the result of misunderstandings, but sometimes they are indeed intentionally fraudulent.
In all cases, IOAS investigates to ensure that the value of names and logos is not undermined, whether intentionally or unintentionally. If, after a series of communications with the offender, IOAS is not satisfied with the actions taken to rectify the situation, we will make public the misuse on our website and social media platforms so that trade, regulators and consumers are warned of the misuse.
